Brand Protection using Amazon Registry
We recently had a new client sign up for our brand protection services.
A smaller family owned businessman had just received his trademark approval and was enrolled in Brand Registry 2.0.
Our client thought that he had his brand very well protected until he had multiple sellers jump on his listing. Essentially, they were not selling his product – they were selling generic / counterfeit versions of his product.
He conducted a test buy and filed the proper reports with Amazon. He was investing a large amount of time and not getting much traction out of these reports. The sellers were just lingering on his account, negatively affecting his sales.
Within the first week, we got about 90% of these hijackers off his account. By the end of the second week, our client had all his listings back and there were no unauthorized sellers using his account. He was able to run his business as usual.
