What Sellers Need To Know If Amazon Wants You To Verify Your Business
The Amazon business verification nightmare continues to roll on. Thank goodness it is not as bad as we predicted when they changed the TOS, the Business Solutions Agreement, and said that all sellers are going to be subject to business verifications.
Here’s what you need to know if Amazon wants to put you through the verification process…
You need to take all your documents, print them out, lay them all out on the table, and analyze each one and try and figure out where there is a discrepancy.
Make sure that the information you use on each document is consistent, even misspellings and abbreviated words can trigger a verification process for your seller account. The information you list including; your home address, legal name, email addresses, and seller account, should be exactly the same on every document you and your business are associated with in order to minimize confusion for Amazon.
Look at the documents with a fine-tooth comb, find the discrepancies, and then address them in a POA to Amazon if you have already submitted them, or get them fixed and only send in perfect documents that Amazon staff cannot poke any holes in. That’s how you can get past the business verification.
