Sellers, below is information about receiving a ‘Used Sold as New’ Performance Notification from Amazon:
Our client received a used sold as new complaint. He contacted our law firm, Rosenbaum Famularo, PC, law firm behind AmazonSellersLawyer.com, to create an appeal on his behalf. After consulting with our client and our team, we wrote and submitted a Plan of Action.
Our client then received a Performance Notification from Amazon stating:
“Thank you for this information; we have updated it in the system.”
Amazon’s response was not a confirmation that the ASIN had been reinstated, but the seller did not want to sell this ASIN any longer. Since it tends to take a few days for complaints to be removed from a seller’s account health, we waited to allow time for the complaints to be removed. After approximately a week, we noticed that the complaints were still on our client’s account, which was still inactive. We sent Amazon another appeal and received the same response from Amazon.
If you receive a performance notification from Amazon, keep in mind that after you appeal, the complaints are not always taken off your account. A seller should always check to be sure their account is cleared and hold onto any Performance Notifications in case they have to send in another appeal.
