This particular Amazon seller had his account suspended for baseless intellectual property rights complaints.

He received counterfeit complaints for approximately 8 ASINs. We spoke with him and learned that he had no invoices in his possession because he never sold these products at all. We reviewed his account and found that he truly did not have these ASINs listed anywhere because he did not sell these products.

This is not an uncommon occurrence. We reached out to the rights owner to try to get a retraction by phone and email with no results. We then went to their website. Our goal was to explain to the rights owner that we never sold these products and their complaints were baseless.

Our team discussed what we should write in the appeal and how to address the issue. In the Plan of Action, we stressed the importance of the fact that our client did not sell the products and the rights owner was unwilling to respond to our attempts at contact. Mysteriously enough, our client’s account was reinstated by Amazon without any notification. Our client was up and running within a few days.
