Pan-European FBA Program Set to Launch
For Amazon Sellers in Europe, a major roadblock is the inability to utilize Fulfillment by Amazon. This is the program that helps US Sellers gain steam and generate income so quickly. With the launch of Pan-European FBA, this won’t be an issue any longer.
Pan-European Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) aims to bring the benefits of FBA to Europe. This program will help European Amazon Sellers ship their products to other countries throughout Europe. As a result, increasing income and reaching a broad range of new customers. Representatives from Amazon state that this new Amazon FBA program will assist European Sellers regardless of their industry or the size of their business.
Pan-European FBA Brings Benefits of FBA to European Sellers
Pan-European Fulfilment by Amazon allows European Sellers to reap the benefits of Amazon FBA – that means reduced costs, faster shipping, and all the convenient perks of FBA. It’s true, selling with Amazon FBA does take pressure off individual sellers. European sellers can avoid the stress brought on by customer service issues – those are all handled by FBA – as well as save money by sending their inventory to be packed and shipped by Amazon.
European Amazon Sellers will receive a brief on Pan-European FBA to help them learn how it works, what products are eligible, and what benefits they will receive by using FBA. In an official press release from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon states the following five points regarding how the Pan-European FBA will work:
Start: Sellers enroll products that are eligible for Pan-European FBA.
Ship: Sellers ship Pan-European FBA enrolled products to a local Amazon Fulfilment Centre;
Distribute: Amazon will distribute sellers’ inventory across its European Fulfilment Network – at no extra cost to the seller – in order to get it close to customers, based on the anticipated local demand;
Orders: When customers order the products, Amazon will handle the fulfillment logistics and provide fast, reliable delivery from the closest fulfillment center where the product is available;
Fees: For the delivery, sellers will pay the local fulfillment fee of the marketplace in which the product was ordered. There is no European Fulfilment Network cross-border fee.
So, overall, the launch of Pan-European FBA is really no surprise. Amazon aims to expand its reach to every possible country, market, and potential customer throughout the world. This is just another step towards their overall goal.
