Case #05188
What are related accounts?
Amazon’s policies allow a seller to operate multiple accounts on their e-commerce platform as long as each account is registered to a different legitimate business. While this is true, Amazon commonly suspends seller accounts for suspecting related accounts and it is up to the seller to prove the validity of each business and the reason having multiple Amazon seller accounts is necessary. If your account is suspected of having related accounts it is likely because of utilizing identical business addresses or use of the same network and computer.
How we won reactivation of a related accounts suspension
When you are accused by Amazon of having related accounts, it is crucial that you demonstrate how your different seller accounts conform to amazons policies. There are several factors that we used in our Plan of Action, and that are consistently capable of proving your accounts do not violate Amazon’s agreements including:
- The client had several different Amazon seller accounts, but each account was associated with a different private label brand.
- Each private label brand which was owned by our client sold products in different categories on Amazon
- The plan showed a significant business reason to maintain multiple seller accounts
If you can prove to Amazon that your accounts are run by separate entities and have different purposes, you are likely to have your account reinstated quickly.
