Tips for Amazon Sellers Submitting Inauthentic Suspension Appeals
Hi everyone, thank you for joining me for Amazon Sellers’ Insider Information. My name is Alexa, I’m filling in for CJ Rosenbaum, who should be back with us shortly. Until then, we hope you have been enjoying the other members of the firm speaking about their insider information for you. So before we get started on my topic today, (I’m going to be giving you some tips to add and improve your inauthentic appeal), we’re going to start by hearing from one of our vendors.
PPCninja.com was founded by Bernie Thompson. Bernie is a tremendous thought leader in our industry, and a tremendous seller. PPCninja.com uses a combination of incredible software, and also one-on-one personal consultations, to figure out the best PPC strategy for you to turn your advertising dollars into sales.
Inauthentic Suspension Appeals for Amazon Sellers
Now we’re going to get into how to make your inauthentic appeal just that much stronger, so that way, you can use it and get your account/listing back, hopefully on your first attempt. These tips are for people who have private branded listings, but they can be helpful for other situations where Amazon is having issues verifying your invoices.
So for example, let’s say you are the trademark owner of X Brands. If that’s the case and you receive an inauthentic complaint on an X Brand product, you want to include your USPTO page that shows your trademark is living to Amazon, so that way they can see who you say you are in representing this brand.
Further than that, if the item is something that has a variation, let’s say color, and let’s say the green color is having an issue and has become an inactive product on your Amazon inventory, you’ll want to take a screenshot of your inventory screen that will say the exact SKU and item number that’s on your invoice. So that way, when it’s directly in the appeal, right under the ASIN, Amazon can say, “I see that item number, see it on your invoice, match. No problem.”
You might have an issue with the actual manufacturer themselves, and that’s a whole other video we will get into, but if you’re having issues trying to prove which variation it is, you just have to give them a screenshot, because sometimes the back end doesn’t look deeper in. So be proactive, show Amazon what you can show them, and try to guide them in the right direction. You should have a better chance of getting your suspended Amazon account or listing back up.
