Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) – Keeping Information Confidential to Protect Your Amazon Business

This is David, Managing Attorney of our Business Law for Sellers department at amazonsellerslawyer.com. The topic for today is non-disclosure agreements.

For those who don’t know, a non-disclosure agreement is a legally enforceable contract that protects confidential information.

If you have a trade secret, for example, and you don’t want anyone to know about it, you don’t want anyone to be able to disclose that information, you want to protect yourself. That’s where an NDA comes into play…

Here is a scenario where an NDA would come in very handy, especially for Amazon sellers:

A lot of Amazon sellers have account managers, and sometimes they have access to manufacturers, authorized distributors, or wherever they’re sourcing the product from. There’s certain information that you, the Amazon seller / business owner, may not want your account manager to be able to somehow use against you for their own benefit.

If you have any questions about non-disclosure agreements or you’re not sure whether you need one, feel free to give us a call at 1-877-9-SELLER
