BREAKING NEWS: Expired Items SUSPENSIONS on the Rise – Amazon Seller Accounts DEACTIVATED
I’ve got breaking news for Amazon sellers, and unfortunately, it’s bad news.
We’re seeing an increase in the number of suspensions for expiration dates.
Products that have expiration dates. You got to be super careful. I want to talk to you about how we win these cases so that you have both the education, knowledge, and the power to either handle it yourself, or you know what you’re talking about when you call us for help.
Number one, when it comes to expiration dates, documents carry the day.
Documents win reinstatements when it comes to expiration dates. The best-case scenario is that you can show that Amazon was a bit wrong and your expiration dates are far enough out there that it’s not an issue. The turnover of your products is fast enough, that it’s not an issue.
Number two, you want to insert expiration dates right in your plan of action if the dates are good.
Now, if your expiration dates were coming up a little too quickly, or you made a mistake and you had all the inventory to FBA, or a consumer received an expired product or a product that was soon to expire, then you really got to focus on the third section of your plan of action, which are the systemic changes to your business, how you are going to be a better seller and that while everybody is human, and everybody makes mistakes. Amazon staff in India are some of the people that read your plans of action that I personally met when I was in India. You got to persuade these people that Amazon is not going to have the same problem with you going forward. Systemic changes, long-term changes to your business are an absolutely vital part of every single plan of action.
