Sellers suspended for jumping on pre-existing listings without inventory.
After a decrease over the last month or so, we are now seeing an increase in the number of sellers who are getting suspended for jumping on pre-existing listings without having any inventory. Drop shippers, this means you. Things slowed down a bit in terms of what we saw in terms of suspensions, but now they are ramping up as we get closer and closer to the new year. Be careful jumping on listings without inventory. If you don’t have invoices, you’re going to have a problem.
Private label brands w/ brand registry having hard time getting rid of hijackers.
Usually, when you develop a private label brand, we highly recommend the IP Accelerator program. You get brand registry almost automatically and you should be able to sweep your listings as long as the products being delivered by the hijackers are different. But what we’re seeing from our clients that are having a bit of a hard time, which was not expected, is when you pay Amazon’s inside lawyers to get you the IP rights and to get your brand registry. We didn’t expect the problem, but nothing with Amazon is always smooth. Just be aware. It’s still worthwhile, but people with private label brands with brand registry through IP Accelerator are now having a bit of a problem.
Former Amazon sellers with old accounts.
People in companies that were selling in 2013 to 2017 have been calling us to help them get their accounts back on. We’re not sure if they are simply getting back in the game (which I fully support) or if they’re taking these accounts and then selling them to other businesses so that they can start selling with older accounts. The older the account, the more frequent the distributions. Something you need to be aware of, people and companies with older accounts are trying to get back on.
The glitch report.
People and companies all over the world are submitting plans of action with the appeal button and they’re getting a response from Amazon that says, “Invalid way to submit an appeal.” We certainly saw them for the last couple of days. It’s a glitch.. You’re submitting your POA’s right. If you need help, give us a call for a free consultation 1-877-9-SELLER.
Amazon sellers going on other platforms.
This is great for sellers. This is something you need to do. Even if it’s only a small portion of your sales, get on other platforms. When you do that though, I want you to be careful on eBay in particular. VERO complaints are eBay’s form of intellectual property. It stands for Verified Rights Owner. If you receive one, give us a call. You may not be violating anyone’s IP rights at all.
