I am in full support of Amazon sellers writing their own POA, but we’re getting call after call, case submission after case submission, of many of you who are either using fly-by-night consultants, or you’re writing a POA without any guidance.

Every single POA, every single one, has three sections. You have your root cause, your immediate corrective action, and the long-term changes, delta stands for change, long-term changes, long term improvements to your Amazon business.
Let’s say your account gets suspended because of a tracking number issue.
This issue is rampant right now. I just shot another breaking news piece about tracking numbers causing suspensions. Root cause. Our account was deactivated, and our listing was deactivated because of a tracking number error. It was entered wrong. It was entered prematurely. There was a mistake made, a human error. That’s the root cause of our suspension.
Corrective action. You immediately stop what you were doing. You did your deep-dive investigation, used Amazon’s language, and identified the root cause. If a customer had a poor customer experience, you let them keep the product for free and you reimbursed them the cost. You have to make Amazon’s consumers as happy as possible, as quickly as possible. That’s your immediate corrective action.
The long-term changes to your business. The long-term improvement to your Amazon-based business is software. It’s someone who’s getting better training. It’s someone who is hired just to handle whatever the issue is that you’re facing. You have to improve by people, by method, or by software.
