Issues with Amazon FBA
There has been a sharp increase in the amount of Amazon sellers that use Amazons FBA program who have had their inventory lost by the company. Typically the inventory has not actually been lost, but rather displaced without having given the proper Amazon seller credit for the products. In these cases, it has been shown that the products are being sold through Amazon or stolen by employees who know there is easy access to the inventory of sellers.
Resolution
When Amazon does not take responsibility for the loss of your inventory, you should prepare a Plan of Action (POA) which demonstrates proof of the losses you are facing and that is not due to an error on the part of the seller. In your POA make sure to show Amazon how many products you have sent, what courier was used, etc. As an Amazon seller you should be making sure that each distributed product is packages perfectly with the proper Amazon labels and keeping record of your the movement of your inventory including photographs of the process and utilizing a partner courier to ensure that the blame for the loss is on Amazon.
If this process fails you are capable, as an Amazon seller, of taking Amazon to arbitration in order to receive an unbiased third party judgement on the matter. This process is less expensive and less time consuming than a typical legal process.
