Our seller has successfully been doing retail arbitrage drop shipping for a very long time. This is a family owned Amazon business. Our client used an algorithm to find products to list against on Amazon. He then places an order with Walmart which ships directly to the Amazon customer. While we do not recommend this practice, our client has been rather successful.
He received a complaint regarding a restricted product. The algorithm had listed against an over the counter medicine. As soon as he realized this, our client went ahead and stopped listing against the product.
Anything that is chemical-heavy tends to get a lot of complaints on Amazon.
This is because different countries have different restrictions and use different ingredients. What is allowed in one country is not necessarily permitted in another due to different standards around the world.
We drafted a Plan of Action stating that we were not aware and were not going to list against the product anymore. We explained what our client had done to prevent this issue from reoccuring; our client did a very thorough review of all the products that he had listed against to be sure that he is not listing any sort of medication. He then went one step further and worked with the person who developed his program to ensure that there were no medications or beauty products included. This allowed him to get his business reinstated.
