WHAT AMAZON IS LOOKING FOR INVOICES TO CONTAIN
Hi Amazon Sellers!! In this video, I will be giving you vital information on what your invoices should contain when requested by Amazon.
When an account or listing is suspended by Amazon – in my experience, Amazon will typically want to see and verify invoices where they can easily trace the chain of supply back to the manufacturer – for the past 365 days of sales for the listings in question.
So, what is Amazon looking for the invoice to contain?
Your account or business name, your address, phone number, and email address should all match exactly on the invoice to the name address, phone number, and email address registered to you Amazon account.
The quantity of the items purchased from your authorized supplier.
A description of the products purchased. It’s best to have as much detailed information as possible. This could include SKUs, UPC codes, names of product, sizes if applicable, and if there are variations of the products they should all be listed separately. For example, if you are selling clothing – sizes, colors, male vs female, adult versus child, should be indicated CLEARLY on the invoice. The more detail, the better.
We suggest to never redact information.
All pricing should be in the realm of reality. It should be too cheap or too expensive. If there are mathematical mistakes, it could be an indication to Amazon that the invoice is fake.
The fonts on the invoice should all match, if not, again, this could flag Amazon that the invoice may not be authentic.
Always check your invoice for any errors before submitting to Amazon.
If you find any errors, reach out to your supplier for a corrected invoice. Also, ensure your supplier is aware and willing to verify your invoice and purchase – if and WHEN Amazon reached out to do so.
