Amazon Requesting Documents Involving Licensing Agreements & Letters of Authorization
We have been seeing a lot of situations arise in the health and beauty category on Amazon, where sellers are being requested to provide a licensing agreement or a letter of authorization by a brand to show that they’re allowed to sell the products on Amazon.
Now in the past, Amazon has stated in their BSA that they do not enforce distribution agreements.
If this is a situation you find yourself in, where you do not have a licensing agreement or letter of authorization, you have to go by the book and explain to Amazon that this is clearly enforcing distribution, and that you are sourcing the products legitimately. You should have no problem proving this to Amazon.

Business verification for people and companies selling gated brands.
The new terms of service came online on August 16th, 2019. Business verifications clearly apply to all sellers, large, small, new, experienced, gated brands, and regular third-party sellers. When it comes to gated brands, Amazon has been requesting copies of your authorization letters, copies of your contracts with the brands, and you have to have those forms at the ready. If you have an authorization letter, if you have a distribution agreement, if you got into selling gated brands, you have the documents, just keep them ready. They’re really quick reinstatements to obtain.
