Amazon Sellers’ News 12/19/19 with CJ Rosenbaum: Product detail page tampering, Louis Vuitton intellectual property complaints, Amz issuing refunds, Sellers standing up to brands
Louis Vuitton has started making a tremendous number of intellectual property rights complaints against sellers.
They are making complaints against sellers who are selling counterfeit products and sellers who are selling genuine products. So, if you’re selling Louis Vuitton, please be careful. Please be prepared to back up that your products are 100% genuine, and that you’re selling them under the First Sale Doctrine.
We’ve seen a dramatic increase in the number of suspensions (both listing and account suspensions) for product detail page tampering.
Product detail page tampering, do not mess with the brand names on listings. You’re putting your entire account at risk. Don’t change listings if you don’t have to. Keep making sales, ride it out to the end of the year, then try out things that you think will increase your sales.
