Amazon Sellers’ News 1/21/20: Doggie Dental dropping lawsuits on sellers, Accounts suspended for lingering IP complaints, Inauthentic complaints leading into suspensions.
Doggie Dental dropping lawsuits on sellers.
If you’re selling anything that is similar to this product, you may want to be careful because you could be susceptible to the lawsuit that Doggie Dental is bringing against sellers. Now, this isn’t a lawsuit for the first sale doctrine. This is actually about infringement on the patent, meaning the shape and design of this product and the trademark behind this product for the quality control of it. Now you might be asking, “What kind of quality control is there for dog products?” Where you can see that if a dog is given plastic that is a grade that is not supposed to be for dogs to chew upon, they’re going to eat right through it and we’ve actually had reports and have seen in this lawsuit that dogs have had to get surgery due to the poor quality control of these alternative products to the Doggie Dental.
Sellers’ accounts suspended for lingering IP complaints on their account health.
These sellers have anywhere from 2 to 200 IP complaints on their account and they have lasted there for 2 months or more. We’re receiving the reports now that Amazon has suspended them for these lingering IP complaints about not responding to them sooner. So we implore you, please try and deal with any complaint on your account as quickly as you can.
Sellers receiving inauthentic complaints leading into suspensions.
These come with no customer complaints and can be very hard to prove to Amazon that your goods are authentic if they do not want to accept your invoices. But if you keep trying and you can prove to Amazon that you’re selling authentic goods, you should be able to get your account back and running and have your listings reinstated as well.
